KB269598: What is the project-level governing setting "Maximum Inbox message size (MB)" in MicroStrategy Secure Analytics 10.2 or above

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
INTRODUCTION
In Strategy Secure Enterprise Platform 10.2 or above, a new governing setting called 'Maximum Inbox message size (MB)' has been introduced at the project level.
This setting governs the size of each message (VI dashboard) sent to the history list, regardless of the history list type (File based or Database based).
If the message size (in MB) is more than the specified limit, the content is not sent to the history list repository.
The setting is designed to restrict users from sending large documents and dashboards to the History List ensuring that the storage is optimally used.

Please refer to KB442606 for more information.
What would happen if the limit “Maximum Inbox message size (MB)” is exceeded from Strategy 10.4.6 or 10.11?

Note:
This setting is designed for Dashboard/Dossier/Document. It is expected that it will not take effect for reports.
