KB270446: Prompts are not displayed in a Report Services document when it is accessed via another document using URL API in MicroStrategy Mobile 10.0

SYMPTOM:
In some business scenarios, developers may wish to add two prompts but want to shows only one of them to end users. When this requirement is realized with the URL API embedded in a Report Services document, mobile users may experience an issue in which the document will open up without being prompted at all.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow the steps below to reproduce this issue in the Strategy Tutorial project: 

1. Create element list prompts for Category(P1) and Quarter(P2)
2. Create a report with the Category and Quarter attributes and the Revenue and Cost metrics (R1)
3. Add the prompts P1 and P2 to the report (R1)
4. Create a document using the R1 report (D1)
5. Create another document (Source Document) and insert a link to D1 with a similar definition as follows so that the users will not be prompted for P2.

1. On the Strategy Mobile for iPad app, perform "Clear Cached data"
2. Run the Source Document and click the link to D1, only the prompt P1 will be displayed as shown below

1. Perform "Clear Cached data" again
2. Run D1 and click the Cancel button in the prompt

10. Run the Source Document and click the link to D1 again. This time, the D1 document will open up without being prompted 

CAUSE:
This is working by design.
 
ACTION:
The URL API is missing one parameter “&showPrompts=3”, which means that the prompt page will be displayed only for those prompts that were unanswered. When this parameter is added, the prompt will be displayed in Step 10.
