KB275770: Highlighting and copying certain information from the Report Details page is no longer possible in MicroStrategy Web 10.x

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.1, users can access the Report SQL, description, and filter details by going into the Report Details Page from the Tools menu. From this page, users would be able to highlight and copy the information in the Report Filter or the information in the Report Description. However, this is not possible anymore in Strategy Web 10.x, as shown below:
In Strategy Web 9.4.1:
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
In a Strategy 9.4.1 Tutorial Project:

• Run any report. In this example 'Individual Sales Analysis' is used.
• In Design mode, the information in the Report Filter can be highlighted and copied, as shown below.
  

• After executing the report go to Tools > Report Detail Page. The Report Description can be highlighted and copied, as shown below.
  

In a Strategy 10.x Tutorial Project:

1. Perform the same steps as listed above. Notice that neither the Report Filter information nor the Report Description from the Reports Detail Page can be highlighted and copied. 

 
CAUSE
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 10.x.
 
ACTION
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Version 10.8 please upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
