KB279939: Derived metrics in a grid cannot be updated automatically on iPad against MicroStrategy Mobile 10.x

Community Admin

• Strategy

If users configure transaction on a grid and set the control style to some types, such as “Switch” and “Star Rating”, derived metrics in the grid cannot be updated automatically when changing values of the dependent metric(s) on iPad against MicroStrategy Mobile 10.x. The same works fine in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM:
If users configure transaction on a grid and set the control style to some types, such as “Switch” and “Star Rating”, derived metrics in the grid cannot be updated automatically when changing values of the dependent metric(s) on iPad against Strategy Mobile 10.x. The same works fine in Strategy Web.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Create a report services document with a simple grid.
  • Created a derived metric using the expression, for instance: Profit + Revenue, and add it to the grid.
  • Configure transaction on the grid and set the control style to “Switch” for the metrics “Profit” and “Revenue”.

  • Run the report services document in Presentation mode. The derived metric can be updated automatically when users change the value for Profit and/or Revenue.

  • Run the report services document on iPad against Strategy 10.2 Mobile. The derived metric is not updated after changing the value of Profit and/or Revenue.
