SYMPTOM:
When creating metrics, users can define the Dynamic Aggregation function that will be used for the rollup of metric values that occurs when an attribute is moved from the report grid to the Report Objects panel.
Note: For more information on dynamic aggregation, including details on using dynamic aggregation to analyze data, see the In-memory Analytics Guide.
However, in Strategy Web 10.1, after saving the Dynamic Aggregation function once, editing the metric and changing it twice, the change will not get saved.
Consider the example below where the Dynamic Aggregation was initially set to Average:

After changing the Dynamic Aggregation to Sum, and saving it, the aggregation stays as Average.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web 10.
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.4. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
WORKAROUND:
Perform a Save As instead of Save and the changes will be kept.
The Strategy Internal Reference Number for the issue discussed in this technical note is DE27326.
