SUMMARY
This document discusses a known issue with Strategy Enterprise Manager 10.0 - 10.2 where the number of database connection processes keep increasing with each data load.
SYMPTOM
A constantly increasing number of database connections are created from the Enterprise Manager Data Loader to the Enterprise Manager database when running data loads. In addition, users may notice a growing number of sessions in the database which are not closed automatically when the data load completes.
This can be observed through the number of database connection processes (M8MulPrc on Linux/Unix and MJMulPrc_64.exe on Windows) on the machine where the Enterprise Manager Data loader is running.
CAUSE
This is a known issue with Strategy Enterprise Manager 10.0 - 10.2.
The internal reference number for this issue is DE28023.
ACTION
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.3. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
WORKAROUND
Restarting the Strategy Enterprise Manager Data Loader service will clear the MJMulPrc_64 or M8MulPrc processes spawned by the previous data load.
