KB298306: Prompt answers cannot be passed from the source document to the target document if the source document is opened from an external link on Android devices against MicroStrategy 10.3 Mobile

SYMPTOM:
Prompt answers cannot be passed from the source document to the target document if the source document is opened from an external link on Android devices against Strategy Mobile 10.3. If the same source document is opened by a link in a Strategy document, prompt answers can be passed successfully.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:                                                 
 

1. Create a standalone HTML file and insert a link to open a report service document “Document A” in Strategy and pass the prompt answers:

2. Insert a grid to “Document A” and edit links on an attribute column: select “Document B” as the target and choose "Answer with the same prompt from the source" for the prompts.
3. Run the HTML page on Android and click on the link. “Document A” can be opened successfully with prompt answered.
4. Click on the grid link in “Document A”. Prompt answers cannot be passed from “Document A” to “Document B”

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue of Strategy Mobile 10.3 for Android.
ACTION:
Users can upgrade the mobile app to Strategy Mobile10.4 for Android to solve the problem.
