KB298312: Subtotal of a compound metric doesn’t show correctly in Visual Insight in MicroStrategy Web

SYMPTOM:
Subtotal of a compound metric doesn’t show correctly in Visual Insight in Strategy Web 10.0, although Smart Metric has been enabled. Subtotal of the same metric returns correctly in report.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:                                                 

• Create a new compound metric in Tutorial in Strategy 10.0: Profit/Revenue. Enable smart metric for the metric.
• Create a report containing the new metric. Add a compound attribute, For instance "Seasons", to Page-by and enable subtotal for the report.
• Edit the evaluation order for the report: set Total to 1, metric "Profit/Revenue" to 2 and Seasons to Default.
  

• Run the report and the subtotal of Profit/Revenue shows correctly in the report. 
  
  

• Create a dashboard based on the report and subtotal for the metric Profit/Revenue returns an incorrect value in the grid visualization.
  
  

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue of Strategy Web 10.0.
 
ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
