Summary
After upgrading from 9.4.x to Strategy 10.1, 10.2 or 10.3, the following error message appears when running a Visual Insight Dashboard or when moving between multiple tabs of a Visual Insight Dashboard.


Cannot read property 'id' of undefined

The exact error can vary slightly depending on the browser used. The above message is reproduced in Google Chrome. In Internet Explorer, the error message states the following:


Unable to get property 'id' of undefined or null reference

Cause
This error can occur due to various reasons. The occurence referenced in this technical note is caused by a known issue with a Dashboard property controlling the filter panel affecting Strategy Web 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3.

Action
The filter panel specific issues that causes the error described in this technical note has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.4. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
