This technical note describes how the URL API uid/pwd and valuePromptAnswers do not work together for Visual Insight dashboards in Micorstrategy Web 10.1. This issue has been fixed in MicroStrategy Web 10.2. Upgrade to take advantage of this fix.

SYMPTOM:
URL API uid/pwd and valuePromptAnswers do not work together for Visual Insight dashboards in Micorstrategy Web 10.1. Using either API on its own can work as expected, but constructing a URL with both does not. The issue does not happen for a grid report.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue with Strategy Web 10.1.
ACTION:
The issue is fixed in Strategy Web 10.2. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
The Strategy Internal Reference Number for the issue discussed in this technical note is DE30827.
