KB303664: Enterprise Manager data load fails with error code SQL0-802 in MicroStrategy when the warehouse database type is DB2

SYMPTOM
The Enterprise Manager data load fails with error code SQL0-802 when executing the stored procedures SP_IS_DOC_FACT and/or SP_IS_REP_FACT.  An example of the full error text that may be seen in the MAEntMgr.xml file is as follows:

This issue can occur in Strategy 10.0 - 10.3 when the Enterprise Manager warehouse is stored in a DB2 database.
 
CAUSE
This issue is caused by a known defect in the Enterprise Manager data load stored procedures SP_IS_DOC_FACT and SP_IS_REP_FACT that can result in an arithmetic overflow when performing mathematical operations on integer values.
 
ACTION
This issue has been resolved in Strategy Enterprise Manager 10.3 Hotfix 2 and later versions.  Any Enterprise Manager warehouses created in 10.3 Hotfix 2  or later should not experience this issue.
 
Any Enterprise Manager warehouse created prior to 10.3 Hotfix 2 will need to be manually updated with the newer stored procedure definitions.  The file db2_104_sp_doc_rep_update.sql has been attached to this Technical Note; the SQL from this script will drop the existing affected stored procedures and create replacements using the updated definitions.  After running the script, the data load should be able to proceed normally.
