SYMPTOM:
A Narrowcast Service using a Control Document and designed to create a file fails to produce the file and the following error is seen in the DE logs:
Service ID Execution ID Segment ID Error transmitting to recipient - 87005:Control document error
CAUSE: This error code indicates a syntax error in the Control Document used for the service.
In the above example, a Control Document with the following definition was included:
SaveDocumentAs='My Excel Attachment.xls=My Saved Excel File.xls
The above definition does not include a closing quotation mark and results in the transmission error.
ACTION: Check the syntax of the Control Document and be sure that the definition is correct with appropriate opening and closing quotation marks.
