KB30741: When an attribute element has been deleted from database, it still shows up as default prompt answer in MicroStrategy Developer and Web 9.x and newer

SYMPTOM:
If an attribute element prompt answer is set to have a default answer when that data element is removed from the data warehouse, the prompt still shows the obsolete data as a prompt selection Strategy Developer and Web 9.x and newer
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Execute the following in Strategy Tutorial:

1. In LU_REGION table add a new Region element called Middle.
2. Create a report with the Call Center attribute in it. Create a new attribute element prompt on Region. Set the default prompt answer to Middle.
3. When the report is executed in Desktop, the default prompt answer Middle is displayed in the prompt.
4. Delete the Middle attribute element from LU_REGION table.  When the report is executed again, Middle still shows up as the default prompt answer.
5. Clearing object server cache and restarting Intelligence Server does not resolve the issue.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Developer 9.x and newer
 
ACTION:
Modify the prompt definition to manually remove the deleted element from the default answer.
