KB308784: Installation does not progress when attempting to install MicroStrategy Secure Enterprise 10.x on Linux Redhat 6.5 - 6.7 that does not contain the ksh package

SYMPTOM
When attempting to install Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.x using the following command line command (i.e., non-GUI), the installation does not progress and stays at "Checking file integrity...."

"/setup.sh -console"

After installing “ksh-20100621-12.el6.x86_64.rpm: The ATT Korn Shell” package, the installation completes successfully.

CAUSE
There is a documentation defect in the Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 readme that mentions that, for RHEL 6.5.x, RHEL 6.6.x, and RHEL 6.7.x, it is not necessary to install any packages from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation media.

Strategy Unix installation (Linux, AIX, Solaris) uses ksh (KornShell) to run the installer.

ACTION
For the installation to complete, users should install ksh on the operating system.

The documentation has been updated for Strategy Secure Enterprise 10.4 and 10.5 where the prerequisites are correctly stated.

The Strategy Internal Reference Number for the issue discussed in this technical note is US63023.
