SUMMARY
Exporting report with page by on separate sheets resulted in several sheets being blank except for page by description and title, despite data being populated in the report for that page.
 
SYMPTOM
When exporting a report from Strategy Web 10.3 with a threshold on derived metric subtotal, results in some of the exported sheets are blank except for page by description and title.  This is seen when setting the Web Preference export option for "Excel version:" to "Excel XP/2003".
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create report with Region in page by, Year and Category in rows, and Revenue and profit in columns.
2. Create derived metric profit/revenue
3. Turn on subtotals in the report.
4. Apply a threshold on the derived metric profit/revue.
5. Select ‘Apply the threshold on Subtotal values only’ or ‘Apply the threshold on Metric and subtotal values’.
6. Within Export Options - Advanced Options... select ‘Place each page on a separate sheet’.
7. Export report from web and the report exports with blank pages despite data being populated in the report for that page.

 
CAUSE
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 10.3.
 
ACTION
This issue is resolved in Strategy 2019. To take advantage of the fix, please upgrade to Strategy 2019 or later.
 
WORKAROUND
Exporting the report from Developer exports without any blank pages.
