KB30975: Thresholds do not apply to a dashboard when the selector option of Total is chosen in MicroStrategy Web.

Symptom

Thresholds do not apply to a dashboard when the selector option of Total is chosen in Strategy Web .
 

Steps to reproduce

• Create a dashboard with an element selector and a grid report.
• Enable the Total function in the selector
• Create a threshold on the grid :
  
  
  

• Run the dashboard in Web and notice that the threshold is not applied on Total row :
  
  
  

Cause

This is working as designed. The threshold editor has 3 buttons to distinguish which rows will the threshold apply to. The options are: Metrics only, Subtotals only, Metrics and Subtotals.
 

Action

Use the threshold editor buttons to specify that the threshold should be applied to the subtotals as well.

 
After applying the thresholds correctly, the Subtotals should show the correct formatting.
