KB31027: "*** glibc detected *** P: free(): invalid next size (fast): 0xf6c19f08" error occurs when launching the MicroStrategy Configuration Wizard 9.x on a Unix/Linux operating system

SYMPTOM
When attempting to launch the Strategy Configuration Wizard 9.x after a new installation of Strategy Universal 9.x on a Unix/Linux operating system, the following error occurs (the backtrace may be slightly different for each system):

CAUSE
This error can occur due to one or more of the following reasons: 

• The operating system may be missing one or more libraries required by Strategy Universal 9.x. 
• The user account attempting to launch the Strategy Configuration Wizard 9.x does not have sufficient privileges to access or load the required libraries.
  
• The operating system version on which Strategy Universal 9.x is being installed may not be a supported operating system and the libraries installed may be incompatible
  

 
ACTION
Make sure that all the required libraries to run Strategy Universal 9.x on a Unix/Linux platform are installed. Refer to the Strategy Installation and Configuration Guide or the Readme file for a list of Supported/Certified Operating Systems and a list of required libraries for each operating system.
