  • Save your change and exit the WCE.
  • Navigate to \WEB-INF\xml\blocks\mojo\ in the Strategy web directory and open the MojoToolbarModel.xml.
  • Copy the main nodes of the parent block of the sub-menu item that needs to be removed.  In this example, the External Data... sub-menu item will be removed.  addDS is the parent node of External Data...  Copy the following nodes of the addDS block:

    <block listElementKey="K4" name="MojoToolbarButtonModel">
         <list>
              <property name="items">
              </property>
         </list>
    </block>

  • Also, make note of the listElementKey value of the toolbar sub-menu item to be removed.  In this example, the listElementKey for External Data... is K41 in the MojoToolbarModel.xml.
  • Navigate to the plugin to open ..\plugins\RemoveVISubMenuItem\WEB-INF\xml\blocks\mojo\MojoToolbarModel.xml.
  • Modify the MojoToolbarModel.xml and paste the block copied in step 13.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    <!DOCTYPE block SYSTEM "blockLibrary.dtd">
    <block name="MojoToolbarModel">
      <assignments>
        <property name="items">
          <list>
    	  <block listElementKey="K4" name="MojoToolbarButtonModel">
    	  	<property name="items">
    			<list>
    				<block listAction="delete" listElementKey="K41" listItem="K41" name="MojoToolbarButtonModel"/>

    		</property>
    	  </block>
          </list>
        </property>
      </assignments>
