  • Find
This option is to find users, security roles, or user groups whose privileges the administrator want to change. The Find area has two options:
    • Use the results of a search: Searches for users, security roles, or user groups based on a certain criteria. The criteria include the name of the user, security role, or user group, the date of creation or modification, the type, the primary language, or the dependencies. For details to use each tab, see Using the Configuration - Search for objects dialog box.
    • Examine all Users, User Groups, and Security Roles: Lists all users, security roles, and user groups available in the repository.
Note: After selecting Examine all Users, User Groups, and Security Roles, you select the privileges, and select Grant, Revoke, or Replace Existing Privileges. When you click Go, the privileges get applied only to those users, security roles, or user groups that have the chosen privileges assigned to them.
  • Matching
This option searches for users, security roles, or user groups based on the privileges assigned to them. The Matching area has two options:
    • All: Allows administrators to focus their search on users, security roles, or user groups which have a given privilege or privileges.
  • Any: Allows administrators to define a search for users, security roles, or user groups whose assigned privileges match at least one of the privileges that the administrator chooses.
  • Apply
This option is to identify the privileges that the administrator wants to assign, revoke or change for the selected users, security roles, or user groups. The Apply area has three options:
    • Grant: Grants the privileges chosen by administrator
    • Revoke: Revokes the privileges chosen by administrator
    • Replace Matching Privileges: Replaces the privileges that the users, security roles, or user groups already have, with the privileges chosen by administrator
  • A summary of the selections made by the administrator can be seen on right side of the dialog box under Summary Pane.
  • Click on Go to start the "Update process"
  •  When the process is finished, the following dialog box comes up to finish the process:
