KB31341: How to insert a sample command outline into the active Script window in MicroStrategy Command Manager 9.0.x and above

Describes how to utilize outlines within Command Manager and the act of inserting sample outlines for modification.

The Strategy Command Manager 9.0.x features an extensive list of new options.  One of the basic tasks in Command Manager that users frequently carry out is inserting sample outlines and modifying them according to a user's specific needs. 
In Strategy Command Manager 9.0.x, from the Command Outline window, follow the steps below to insert a sample into the active script window:

  • Click to select the Samples window to bring it into focus (the current window has a white background)
  • Highlight the desired sample to be inserted.
  • Click on the Insert button to insert the highlighted command outline:

  • Alternatively, users can also right mouse click on the highlighted command outline and select the Insert button.
