KB31477: “Cannot delete ‘PromptName’ because other objects depend on it. Do you want to search the dependent objects?” message is seen when trying to delete a prompt however no results are returned in MicroStrategy Developer 9.4.x-10.x

SYMPTOM:
When trying to delete a prompt in Strategy Developer 9.4.x-10.x the following message is seen:

 
The subsequent search for dependent object shows no objects even if managed objects are set to be displayed.
However, no dependencies appear in the search results.   
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Execute the following in Strategy Tutorial:

1. Create a new value prompt.
2. Create a new Freeform SQL report.
3. In the Freeform SQL definition select Insert a Prompt from the file menu and select the value prompt created in step 1.
4. Save and close the Freeform SQL report.
5. Attempt to delete the prompt created in Step 1 and you will receive a warning message that the prompt cannot be deleted, however the FreeForm SQL report created will not show up as a dependency. 

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Developer 9.4.x-10.x.
The prompts used in Freeform SQL Reports are part of the report's definition.  Currently, prompts part of a Freeform SQL definition do not show as dependent objects on the report when doing a search in Developer.
