This document shows one issue that advanced VLDB properties don't show up when "Show Advanced Settings" is enabled in MicroStrategy Developer 10.x. One possible cause is some registry keys have some inconsistency.

SUMMARY:
This document shows one issue that advanced VLDB properties don't show up when "Show Advanced Settings" is enabled in Strategy Developer 10.x. One possible cause is some registry keys have some inconsistency. The solution is to backup old registry keys and re-generate default ones.

SYMPTOM:
Advanced VLDB properties don't show up when "Show Advanced Settings" is enabled in Strategy Developer 10.x

CAUSE:
One possible cause is some registry keys under the following registry folder have some inconsistency:


HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/MicroStrategy/DSS Agent

ACTION:
Follow steps below to backup old registry folder and regenerate new registry folder:
1. Close Strategy Developer.
2. In the regedit, locate the "DSS Agent" folder inside:


HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Strategy

3. Right-click on the "DSS Agent" folder, and rename it to "DSS Agent Backup".
4. Close regedit, and re-open Developer. A new register folder called "DSS Agent" with default registry keys will be re-generated and the interface will reset to the default settings as shown below:
