KB318364: Information window containing an attribute selector cannot be triggered after switching the panels in MicroStrategy Web 10.5

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.5, if the information window contains an attribute selector targeting to objects in different panels, the information window cannot be triggered after switching these panels.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. In Strategy Web 10.5, create a report with following attributes and metrics:
   Attributes: Brand, Item, Region
   Metric: Revenue

• Create a report services document based on the above report.
• Insert a panel stack “Selector Panel” and add:
  - A button called Region.
  - A panel stack containing an attribute element selector with its source set to the attribute “Region”. -- Set the panel stack as Information Window.
  - Target the Region button to the information window.
  
  

• Insert another panel stack with two panels: Item Panel and Brand Panel. Insert some grid or graph to these two panels respectively.
• Add a panel selector for the panel stack created in step 4.
• Target the Region selector created in step 3 to the grids/graphs in Item Panel and Brand Panel.
  
  

1. Run the report services document in Presentation mode. Trigger the information window and select different options for the Region selector. Then, play with the panel selector and click on the Region button again. The information window cannot be triggered.

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue of Strategy Web 10.5.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy 10.6. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
