KB319252:The circle size is not consistent when an attribute breaks the graph to zone in different widths in MicroStrategy Desktop 10.4 and MicroStrategy Visual Insight 10.4.

Community Admin

• Strategy

SYMPTOM:
The circle size is not consistent when an attribute breaks the graph to zone in different widths for Strategy Desktop 10.4 and Strategy Visual Insight 10.4.

Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue in Tutorial project:

  • Create a dashboard with Category, Subcategory, Profit and Revenue. Create a bar graph: one metric is bar, another is circle.
  • Place Subcategory at bottom axis and Category at top axis.
  • Use filter to reduce Subcategory elements for Books and Movies, so that the zones for Books and Movies are narrow and Electronics/Music is wide.
  • It can be observed that the circles in Books/Movies zone are becoming smaller although the bar width keeps almost the same. The size didn’t indicate any metric value here.
