KB31937: The relate tables IS_SCHED_RELATE and IS_SCHED_REL_DOC in MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager Warehouse 9.x are repopulated during every dataload

Community Admin

• Strategy

This Knowledge Base document explains that the two relate tables IS_SCHED_RELATE and IS_SCHED_REL_DOC are repopulated during every dataload in MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager 9.x.

SYMPTOM
The following two relate tables are repopulated during every dataload in Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.x.

  • IS_SCHED_RELATE
  • IS_SCHED_REL_DOC

Users don't have the option to repopulate relate tables during every dataload.

CAUSE
This is working as designed. Starting with Strategy 9.0, with the introduction of Strategy Intelligence Server Distribution Services, the schedule/subscription information is stored differently in the metadata. Hence, this information cannot be retrieved per dataload window and ALL the schedule relationship information in the metadata has to be obtained during every dataload.

ACTION
No action needs to be taken as this is working as designed.

Registry Modification:
WARNING:
Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of Microsoft Windows NT. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warranty. If using Microsoft Windows NT, the user should backup the registry and/or update an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD) prior to alterations.
