In Strategy Web 10.x, data wrangle is introduced as a new feature. This Technical Note explain how to obtain DW.log for Data Wrangle to send to Technical Support for troubleshooting purpose.

Here is the way to open log for refine server.
1. Stop I-Server
2. Add following keys into register(Ensure it is the child of existing key "Config for DataServices"):

Register:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MicroStrategy\JNI Bridge\Config for DataServices\JVM Options]

Keys:
"OtherOptions"="-Drefine.verbosity=debug"

Note: please manually add a new key 'JVM Options' like below if couldn't find this key.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to remove Wow6432Node if you are using Strategy Analytic Desktop or use registry file (MSIReg.reg) in Linux.

3. Start I-Server normally, there should be a log named DW.log under the common log directory. Sometimes located in C:\Program Files (x86)\MicroStrategy\Intelligence Server\Instances\DUMMY_SERVER. If not search the entire directory recursively.

4. Send the DW.log with timestamp issue was reproduced to Technical Support for further investigation.
