KB321176: How to edit existing metric in MicroStrategy Web.

In Strategy Web 10, it is possible to create new metric using metric editor. Also, it is possible to edit existing metrics following one of the below method:

1. Save the metric to a location where you could easily access in Web, like Shared Reports or My Reports;
2. If the folder contains the metric is not directly accessible in Strategy Web (e.g. default metric path: Public Objects--Metrics), use search function to search for the metrics.

 
How to search a metrics in Web:

• Click the magnifier icon on the top right page:
  

• In the pop out search window, choose "Refine":
  

• In Object Type drop down, select "Metric", this will include metrics in search result:
  

• In Search result, click the folder path:
  

• The hidden folder contain the metric will be shown in list view, and right click metrics will show Edit option in context menu:
