Installation of Strategy web part sometimes does not go through completely and deletion of the web part is necessary.
The following steps explains how to correctly delete an installed web part.
1. User the following command to delete the existing Web Part
---- stsadm.exe -o deletewppack -name "name of the cab file"
2. Make sure the following folders are empty after the step above
---- C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\wpresources
---- C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\wpcatalog
3. Use the following command to install the new web part
---- stsadm.exe -o addwppack -filename "$your_location_of_cab_file$\MSTRWebParts.CAB" -force
