Could not start the Strategy Distribution Manager service on Local Computer.

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

CAUSE:
This is a generic error message when Strategy Distribution Manager service failed to be started. There are several possible causes for this error. One of the reasons for this error message is that while Distribution Manager starts, there is module for checking network connection with “EnsureNetworkConnection” call in source, which needs to communicate to the SMTP Server.

When no Internet access is found, the code returns an error that causes the Distribution Manager to fail to start.
