Users receive the following error message when installing Strategy 9.x or newer on a Windows platform:

CAUSE:
This message means that  the Internet Information Services (IIS) component  is not installed on the machine or is missing a few components necessary to run Strategy Web, Web MMT, Web Services, and Mobile on a Windows system.
ACTION:
Make sure that Internet Information Services (IIS) is installed on the machine before trying to install the Strategy products that require it. If it is installed already make sure it has all of the components required by following these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel on the machine.
2. Select Programs and Features.
3. Click the Turn Windows features On or Off task. The Windows Features dialog box opens.
4. Expand Internet Information Services.
5. Expand Web Management Tools and select {IIS Management Console, IIS Management Scripts and Tools, IIS Management Service}
6. Expand World Wide Web Services, then expand Application Development Features, and select {.NET Extensibility, ASP.NET, ISAPI Extensions, ISAPI Filters}
7. Within World Wide Web Services, expand Common Http Features, and select {Default Document, Static Content}
8. Expand Security, and select {Request Filtering, Windows Authentication}

 Restart IIS and attempt to install Strategy Web again.  None of the above errors should be encountered..
