KB32737: 'An error occured while accessing the resources required to serve this request.' error occurs when accessing the Web Admin page in MicroStrategy Web

SYMPTOM
When a user accesses the Web Admin page in Strategy Web, the following error messages are seen:

Server Error in '/Strategy' Application.

Access is denied.

Description: An error occured while accessing the resources required to serve this request. You might not have permission to view the requesting resoures.

Error message 401.3: You do not have permission to view this directory or page because of the access control list (ACL) configuration or encryption settings for this resource on the Web server.

 
CAUSE:
One possible cause is that the user authenticated by the Web server does not have permission to access the Strategy Web Admin page.
 
ACTION:
Review file permissions for admin.aspx inside the [Strategy Web]\asp folder. Make sure user allowed to access Strategy Web Administrator page are grant proper permission.
