KB32815: "Error: Information object returned no data" appears when including the report name in the notification email for file or print deliveries in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server

SYMPTOM:
'Error: Information object returned no data' error message is seen in the email when including the report name in the notification email for file or print deliveries in Strategy Narrowcast Server, as shown below:

 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• In the Strategy Narrowcast Administrator console, navigate to the 'Service for notification of file deliveries' service (default location: Applications/Services for Notification/File Subscriptions) as shown below:
  
  

• Edit the 'Service for notification of file deliveries' service using the Service Wizard.
  
• Click Next to view the Message contents page.
  
• Edit the Subject (called 'File DN Subject') as shown below:
  

• To add the report name, go to the Insert -> Delivery Notification IS -> Report Name, as shown below:
  

• Click `Return to Service Wizard` to save the changes. Finish the Service Wizard to save the changes.
  
• Create a file delivery service in the Strategy Narrowcast Administrator console. Set it up to deliver a simple report, use file delivery notification. Refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base technical notes for more details:

• The confirmation email will have the error described above. 
  

 
CAUSE:
This is a known limitation with Strategy Narrowcast Server.
 
ACTION:
Currently this feature is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled release.
