SYMPTOM:
The following message may be displayed when installing Strategy Intelligence Server 8.1.x - 9.0.x on AIX:

CAUSE:
Strategy is not concerned about whether the fileset has been committed, only that it is installed and that it is currently active within the operating system. When the fileset update is applied to the system, the update is installed. The current version of that software, at the time of installation, is saved in a special save directory on the disk so that it can be reverted back to the previous version if desired. After a new version of a software product has been applied to the system, the version becomes the currently active version of the software.
The updates that have been applied to the system can either be committed or rejected at a later time. The "installp -s" command can be used to get a list of applied updates that can be committed or rejected. For more information about the install command, refer to the following IBM AIX knowledge base support link:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v6r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.aix.cmds/doc/aixcmds3/installp.htm
When updates are committed with the "-c" flag, a commitment is made to that version of the software product, and the saved files from all previous versions of the software product are removed from the system, thereby making it impossible to return to a previous version of the software product. Software can also be committed at the time of installation by using the -ac flags. Note that committing already applied updates does not change the currently active version of a software product. It merely removes saved files for previous versions of the software product.
ACTION:
This warning does not interfere with Strategy Intelligence Server Universal 8.1.x - 9.0.x startup or functionality and can be ignored.
