"Incorrect login/password" error occurs when executing a MicroStrategy Command Manager 10.x script from the command line on a UNIX/Linux system

The same username / password works fine when using the GUI version of Strategy Command Manager 10.x.
CAUSE:
One possible cause for this issue is that the dollar sign, “$”, symbol is used in either the username or the password.

ACTION:
Use single quotes to encapsulate the username and/or password when specified on the command line.
