SYMPTOM:
A project is duplicated between a 3-tier project source and a 2-tier project source. The duplication wizard hangs at different steps during subsequent duplication attempts. No errors are thrown,and nothing is written to the duplication log.
CAUSE:
This issue can occur when there is a difference in the product version between the Intelligence Server and the Desktop Client.
ACTION:
Ensure that the Intelligence Server and Desktop are in the same version. The Intelligence Server version can be checked in the Strategy Service Manager, as seen below:
The Desktop version can be checked from the Help Menu > About Strategy Desktop, as seen below:
WORKAROUND:
In order to bypass the Intelligence Server, a 2-tier to 2-tier project duplication may be attempted. Restart the Intelligence Server afterward.
