KB34022: "The object shown in the following hierarchy no longer exists in schema: -RoleObject is not found in DFCSchema during DFC conversion." error is thrown when updating the schema in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x and 10.x

SYMPTOM:
Users encounter the error below when updating the schema in either two or three tier in Strategy Developer 9.x and 10.x:

Sample Code/Error
Error(s) occurred while loading schema: DSSSQLEngine: Schema loading error: Population Exception: The object shown in the following hierarchy no longer exists in schema: -RoleObject is not found in DFCSchema during DFC conversion.

CAUSE:
This issue is caused because of a metadata inconsistency with a Transformation object. In order to track down the cause of the inconsistency, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema-related changes, Object Migrations, or error messages prior to experiencing the problem.  Change Journaling, if it has been enabled, can help in preserving this information.

ACTION:
It is necessary to identify which transformation is inconsistent. Since this cannot be done through the Developer interface, one possible approach is to migrate all transformation objects from a working backup where the schema can be updated without errors. It is important to set Object Manager's conflict resolution to Replace. If this approach is not feasible, please contact Strategy Technical Support for further assistance.
