To prevent a potential error when running scripts while performing stress testing on the Strategy Web and Intelligence servers, administrators may decide to disable the Wait Pages by setting the MaxWait = -1 on the PageConfig.xml file. This will prevent extra requests being generated when the wait page is invoked for longer running reports or documents during the stress test.
In order to disable the wait page for the entire application users must disable it for each page defined in the pageConfig.xml file.
Steps to disable the wait page:
Follow the instructions provided below:
1. Using the Web Customization Editor, create a new plugin named '_DisableWaitPage'.
2. Change the Package Explorer Tab in the WCE and expand WEB-INF > xml folders.
3. Locate the pageConfig.xml file and Right-click and select Copy as shown below:

4. Continue to stay in package Explorer tab, and expand the plugins > DisableWaitPage > WEB-INF > xml folders.
5. Right click this xml folder and selected 'Paste'. This is creating a copy of the pageConfig.xml file into the custom plugin.
6. Next, double-click the copied pageConfig.xml file so it opens in the WCE xml editor.
7. Search for the maxWait property defined on the template of each page. Examples:
<property name="maxWait" source="const" type="int" value="2000"/> <property name="maxWait" source="const" type="int" value="0"/> <property name="maxWait" source="const" type="int" value="10000"/> <property name="maxWait" source="const" type="int" value="2000" />
<property name="maxWait" source="const" type="int" value="-1" />

14. Click Save and restart the Web server to see the changes.
Note: This may change the look & feel slightly since it will impact they way the _Interface plugin gets applied, but these steps should only be used when performing stress testing and are not meant for normal Strategy Web use.
