SYMPTOM:
After performing a silent installation of Strategy Developer 9.x, a reboot of the machine is required. Subsequent to this reboot, it is necessary to log back in with the local administrative account to complete the installation and register Active-X components.
CAUSE:
Please note that a restart as an administrative user is a requirement for installing Strategy version 9, to allow for post-reboot operations such as the following to be performed:
1. The operating system needing to overwrite some files which could not be over-written during the standard installation.
2. Certain assemblies and libraries requiring registration.
ACTION:
An enhancement request has been logged for the ability to perform a silent installation of Strategy Developer without the need to log in with the local administrative account after the reboot. Currently this request is still being reviewed by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
