STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Execute the following in Strategy Tutorial:
- Create an attribute element prompt with Category.
- Create a filter with the prompt.
- Create an attribute element prompt with Subcategory -- use the filter created at step2 to limit the number of Subcategory to be returned in the list of element.
- Create a filter with the prompt defined at step3.
- Create a report with Category and Subcategory in the grid and the filter created at step4.
- Save IncludingPromptOnReport plugin folder to add this customization.
- Restart IIS.
- Execute the report created at step5 and ansewer the prompt = Category Electronics.
- In the second prompt, select TV's and Video Equipment as the answer for Subcategory.
- Confirm the result. Report Details shows Subcategory = TV's, Video Equipment only. (No reference to Category because it is a nested prompt.)
- Replace the Category prompt answer of Electronics with Books. (Keep Subcategory answer).
- Click "Run" report option. Notice nothing changed in grid result and filter details while "Books" is now selected as the prompt answer. (Note: Though it is a misleading display, this is an expected behavior because prompt to Category is not supposed to be applied directly to the report, but should only control the elements to be returned for Subcategory prompt. )
- Go to "Format" > "Report Details Properties" > General > and check "Prompt Details," and "Filter Details", click "OK"
- Check the report display again and noticed that the prompt order swapped. Originally, it was 1 Category 2 Subcategory, but now, 1 Subcategory 2 Category.
