KB35156: Users receive an HTTP 500.24 Internal Server Error when attempting to access the MicroStrategyWS/MSTRWS.asmx page in MicroStrategy Office and Web Services

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Office and Web Services 9.0.2, users receive an internal server error when attempting to access the StrategyWS/MSTRWS.asmx page.
 

Sample Code/Error
HTTP Error 500.24 - Internal Server Error
An ASP.NET setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.
 
 
CAUSE:
One possible cause of the issue is that the Windows Authentication is enabled, even though Windows users have not been created and configured.
 
ACTION:
Disable Windows Authentication or make sure the Windows users are configured.
