KB35248: Certain windows of prompt answers for attribute element prompts are not populated in Web 9.x, regardless of the incremental fetch setting

Certain windows of prompt answers for attribute element prompts are not populated in Web 9.x, regardless of the incremental fetch setting

SYMPTOM:

When executing a report containing an attribute element prompt in Web 9.x, the first few windows of prompt answers are populated as expected:

Window 1:

Window 2:

However, where answers have been selected from these windows, subsequent sets of prompt answers may appear as blank:

This issue persists regardless of the incremental fetch setting in Web:

Modifying the limit set in the Intelligence Server Configuration for element caches may result in different sets of prompt answers being affected by this issue:

CAUSE:

One possible cause of this behaviour when executing a prompted report using incremental fetch in Web may be the use of an uncertified ODBC driver for connecting to the warehouse.

ACTION:

This may be rectified by creating a DSN to the warehouse via the Strategy Connectivity Wizard, to ensure that the certified driver, as shipped with the product, is used.
