KB35249: Is it possible to define the maximum RAM usage per Intelligent Cube?

Community Admin

• Strategy

A range of settings is currently available in the Project Configuration to govern the use of Intelligent Cubes.  Within this, a setting exists to define a limit for the RAM usage for all Intelligent Cubes in a project, as shown below:

In some cases, for example, in the scenario where indexes are created dynamically, resulting in changes to the size of the Cube at run-time, a user may wish to define a value to be applied for individual Intelligent Cubes.  Is this possible?

Please note that the value set for maximum RAM usage (MB) in the Project Configuration relates to the total for all Intelligent Cubes. An enhancement request has been logged to consider the implementation of a facility to define this per Cube in future versions.  Please contact Technical Support for an update on the status of this request.
