SYMPTOM:
When sending a Flash document via a Strategy Distribution Services 9.x and 10.x email subscription, the email delivered includes multiple attachments instead of a single MHT Flash file. The following files will be attached:
When the same document is exported from Strategy Web 9.0.x to Flash a single MHT file is generated. Also, in some cases sending the same document as Flash to a File location or to a different email address through Strategy Distribution Services 9.0.x produces a single MHT file as well.
CAUSE:
This behavior occurs because the email device used to send the subscription is configured to embed the Flash content.
ACTION:
In order to deliver the document as a single .mht file, the embed Flash content option must be disabled from the device options. To do this, edit the desired device. Click the 'Options' button next to 'MIME' in the 'Email Format' section:
In the 'MIME: Options' window, uncheck the box next to 'Embed Adobe Flash Content'
Once this option has been unchecked, Flash documents sent through Strategy Distribution Services 9.x and 10.x to addresses using this device will be delivered as a single .mht file.
