KB35729: "Method of ~ object ~ failed" error is thrown when attempting to migrate users using MicroStrategy Object Manager 9.0.2.

Community Admin

• Strategy

SYMPTOM
When an administrator attempts to migrate user objects using Strategy Object Manager 9.4.1 and 10.x, the following error is thrown after the Conflict Resolution stage:

Method of '~' object '~' failed

CAUSE
One possible cause for this issue is that the user object has two different object GUIDS in the source and destination projects. This means that the user was created separately in both environments.

ACTION
Using the administrator user, migrate the user object from the source project into the destination project to ensure that it is synchonized across environments. Once the user is synchronized, it will be possible for him to login to both the source and destination projects through Object Manager and complete the object migration.
