KB36116: How to enable the WH Data deletion option under the Data Load Options in Microstrategy Enterprise Manager 9.x

SYMPTOM
The "WH data deletion" option under the Data Load Options is grayed out in Strategy Enterprise Manager 9.4.x
 
CAUSE
There may be incomplete or inconsistent data load sessions.
 
To confirm this, run the following statement through the DB Query Tool against the Enterprise Manager database:


SELECT * FROM EM_IS_LAST_UPDATE WHERE IS_STATUS=0

 
The output will show something like:

ACTION
As there should be only one entry where the IS_STATUS = 0, and it is the one where it has the entries for 31-Dec-1899, it is necessary to remove the extra row. Once the row is removed, the "WH data deletion" option will be enabled again.
