Cannot connect to Metadata with Data Source Name: <DSN Name> and user name.
Error message: Failed to execute query: Connect failed. Login failed. Error type: Odbc operation attempted:
SQLDriverConnect Login failed for user
<Domain\User> Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr fail.
The above error message appears if Health Center is configured using Local System account or not the same user account which was used to configure Intelligence server.
CAUSE:Health Center uses the same username/password for metadata database connection as that of the Intelligence server. When metadata is using Windows NT authentication, the username/password on Intelligence Server side are blank. In this case, Health Center will use the same Windows credentials which are used to run the Health Center on and this is expected. Since, that account does not have the permission to connect to the the metadata, user gets the above error message.
ACTION:Re-configure the Health Center using the same Windows account that is used to run the Intelligence server service. This will allow Health Center to successfully connect to the metadata.
