SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Health Center 9.0.x - 9.2, the following error occurs in DCOM Settings system check:

The following account(s) do not have sufficient DCOM permissions:

When the user clicks the link "Grant the required DCOM permissions to the above account(s)," the issue is not fixed and same error displays. In addition, if the user follows the technical note below, the NT account reported by Health Center has correct DCOM permissions.

KB16763: How to ensure that all Narrowcast Administrators have the required DCOM permissions when adding user accounts in MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server 9.x

CAUSE:
The DCOM Settings system check gets a list of account names in the Narrowcast repository, and then gets a list of accounts that have the correct DCOM permissions, and compare the two lists.  If the names in the two list do not match, the system check reports those accounts. One scenario which causes this type of issue is that a NT user account  added to a Narrowcast repository a while back is now with a different account name. This is a known issue with Strategy Health Center 9.0.x - 9.2. Please contact Strategy Technical Support for an update of this issue.

Since the reported user accounts have correct DCOM permissions already, the fix link still displays because of the name mismatch problem.
ACTION:
The user can safely ignore this error. Alternatively, the user can follow steps below to update the account names stored in the Narrowcast repository:

  1. Launch Narrowcast Administrator console
  2. Remove the reported user accounts
  3. Re-add those accounts back to the repository.
