This technical note documents a metadata inconsistency that is exposed when trying to edit an attribute.

SYMPTOM:
When a user tries to edit an attribute, the following error message is thrown:

ka0PW000000197hYAA_0EM440000002Djg.jpeg

Object with ID XXXXX and type 15 (Table) is not found in metadata. It may have been deleted.

CAUSE:
This error message may occur if there is a Freeform SQL report that has the above attribute and the report contains an invalid reference to a logical table that has already been deleted from Metadata.

ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support to identify such reports. Once the reports are identified, delete and re-create those reports. In order to track down the cause of the invalid reference to a deleted logical table, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema/Application-related changes, Object Migrations or error messages prior to experiencing the problem. Change Journaling, if enabled, can help in preserving this information.
