KB36581: Attribute Browse Sort is not working correctly in MicroStrategy 9.4.x-10.x

SYMPTOM:
Attribute Browse Sort is configured to be Descending as shown below:

 
But in Data Explorer, the attribute elements is not sorted in descending as shown below:

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.4.x-10.x.
ACTION:
After careful consideration, Strategy decided that this issue isn't part of the foreseeable development roadmap of the platform so it won't be implemented..
WORKAROUND:
Follow steps below to make the Browse Sort work:

1. Edit the Browse Sort of the problematic attribute to none.
2. Save the attribute.
3. Set the sort order to Ascending or Descending.
4. Update Schema.
