This article describes an issue where Project duplication via Command Line does not start duplication process in Microstrategy 9.4.1 - 10.x

SYMPTOM:
After creating the project duplication XML file through Project Duplication Wizard, the user triggers the project duplication via Command Prompt with the following command syntax:

ProjectDuplicate.exe -f Path\XMLFilename

More details can be found in technical note KB30159: How to run a Project Duplication through the command line in MicroStrategy 9.4.x - 10.x.
However, running the command does not trigger project duplication and no error message is shown.

CAUSE:
One possible cause is a wrong project source or project destination password.
This can be verified by checking the DSSerror.log which should contain the entry:

" Incorrect Login/Password."

ACTION:
Verify if correct password has been provided to access source and target project source.
